Consulting Arborist / Sales Representative:
We are currently seeking a highly motivated consulting arborist / sales representative. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a progressive industry leader in a fast paced, dynamic, and growing company.

Successful candidates will have:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in all phases of arboriculture
  • MCA and/or ISA certification
  • Bachelors or master degree in arboriculture or related field
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A commitment to outstanding customer service

  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Excellent computer skills

Compensation includes base pay plus commission, company vehicle, and complete benefits package including health insurance, paid vacation and holidays, 401k with company match, ongoing education and company training.  Relocation assistance available.



Landscape Construction Leader:

We are currently seeking experienced landscape construction foremen. Candidates must be motivated, organized, goal oriented and be excellent communicators.

Pre-requisite credentials include:

  • A minimum of 5 years landscape construction experience
  • Ability to select and install plant material
  • Abilitiy to read and implement landscape plans
  • Strong Leadership Skills / Ability to manage others
  • Experience in managing and bidding residential landscape projects.


Plant Health Care Technicians:
This position requires the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of trees and shrubs for insect and disease pests and other factors that might influence plant health. The role will entail working with hydraulic spray equipment, maintaining plant care records with state of the art software and regular interaction with plant health care clients and department manager.

Candidates must be:

  • Motivated

  • Goal oriented
  • Excellent communicators

Personnel will need to possess or develop tree and shrub identification skills and knowledge of common insect/ disease problems. A horticultural/forestry or related life sciences degree is preferred. Commensurate field experience will be considered.



Arborist/ Tree Crew Leader

We are currently seeking an Arborist/ Tree Crew Leader. Position requires proficiency in tree climbing, tree removal and ornamental/ shade tree pruning. Candidates must be motivated, organized, goal oriented and be excellent communicators.

Pre-requisite credentials include:

  • CDL drivers license or ability to obtain
  • Minimum of 3 years climbing experience
  • An ISA/ MCA certification or degree desirable (commensurate field experience will be considered).


Arborist Trainee:

Learn all phases of arboriculture including pruning and removal, insect and disease management and woody plant fertilization.

Position Requires:

  • Motivation
  • Good physical condition
  • A valid drivers license
  • The ability and willingness to learn how to climb
  • A degree or related field experience

Current Internships

Cedar Lawn Tree Service, Inc. has been providing tree and landscape services in the Greater Boston area since 1953. We are a progressive industry leader with state of the art equipment and facility. We are currently seeking candidates for an internship specifically designed to give students exposure to many different areas of the tree and landscape care industry.

Depending on the student’s career goals, the internship will involve working in some or all of the following areas within our firm.

1. General Arboriculture: Work under the supervision of a MCA refining your skills in tree pruning and removal, ornamental tree pruning, chipper use and safety, and aerial lift use.

2. Plant Health Care: Work with an experienced PHC technician and learn about the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of trees and shrubs for insect and disease pests and other factors that influence plant health. Use hydraulic spray equipment, maintain plant care records with state of the art software, and interact with plant health care clients.

3. Sales / Consulting: Work with experienced Massachusetts Certified Arborists and meet with clients to assess their needs, diagnose tree and plant disorders, create proposals, develop landscape plans, purchase nursery stock, and perform daily sales functions.

4. Landscape: Work on a variety of projects such as landscape construction and planting, shrub pruning, and landscape maintenance. Also experience the art of transplanting and moving trees.

Candidates must be:

- working toward obtaining a horticultural/ forestry degree.
